Mylly visited the Port of Hietanen in Kotka to present the 2024 Onboard training Vessel of the Year award while also greeting the vessel’s crew, the shipping company’s representatives, and the apprentices who had just arrived a few days earlier.
The 2024 OBT Vessel of the Year award was won by Bore Ltd.’s Bore Way. Mylly was pleased to present the award to the crew of Bore Way. The vessel has received nothing but excellent feedback from apprentices ever since Bore Way began its cooperation with Mylly as an OBT vessel.
In nearly every feedback, it was highlighted how much emphasis is placed on guiding the apprentices and how well they are included as a part of the crew during their training. The warm atmosphere of the vessel was immediately felt upon arrival. After handing out the award, we were able to enjoy some cake and coffee prepared by the great cook and discuss more about the supervised OBT.
Thank you to the Bore Way crew and the shipping company for the pleasant visit, and congratulations on the well-deserved award! Thank you also to the apprentices for their increased activity in providing feedback. We received a much higher volume of feedback compared to previous years, which makes it easier for Mylly to track the quality of the training and pass valuable information forward to the vessels and shipping companies.
